Does Cigna Cover Lactation Support? Here's What You Need to Know
If you have Cigna insurance, there's a good chance your lactation visits are covered, and getting started is pretty straightforward.
How it Works
We work with Cigna through Wildflower Health, a platform that connects Cigna members with IBCLCs for covered lactation support. This applies to Cigna EPO, HMO, and PPO plans.

In-person or virtual — your choice
Unlike some insurance carriers that limit you to virtual-only visits, Cigna coverage applies to both in-person and virtual sessions with us. Virtual visits have no additional out-of-pocket cost beyond what Cigna covers.
What's covered and what isn't
Cigna covers clinical lactation consulting. What it does not cover is occupational therapy and bodywork for babies. These services go beyond the lactation scope and into whole-body infant development. Our care is integrative, and visits include a combination of all of these services because we feel this is the best approach to care. So there are no surprises, here are the costs associated with care.
Virtual visits: No additional out-of-pocket cost
In-home visits: Initial: $275 and Follow-up: $175
In-office visits: Initial: $175 and Follow-up: $75
