Not your average playgroup
A free developmental playgroup
No diagnosis needed. No evaluations. No pressure. Just intentional play, practical strategies for home, and a community of families who get it.
It’s play with purpose.
WHY THIS EXISTS
Too many families are figuring this out alone.
The first year with a baby is full of questions. Is she rolling yet? Should he be sitting up by now? Is this normal? For many mothers, those questions go unanswered until the next pediatrician visit, and sometimes long after.
At the same time, motherhood can be isolating. Friends may not be in the same season. Family may not be close. And most systems care for the mother and the baby separately, even though their health is connected. 1 in 5 mothers experience depression during pregnancy, which is linked to delayed infant cognitive, language, and motor development.
Our playgroup does not replace therapy. It fills the space between appointments: the floor time, the questions, the moment you notice something and aren’t sure what it means. It is a room full of families learning together, guided by a therapist who knows what to look for.
Play builds the foundation: Through intentional play, infants have opportunities for movement to build the foundation for communication and problem-solving skills, sensory regulation, and early social-emotional skills.
Community support: Peer support can help reduce feelings of isolation and decrease the symptoms of perinatal depression.
Cost should never be a barrier: Grant funding allows families to attend free of cost.
I created this playgroup after my second baby because I couldn’t do the isolation again. What started as a space for me became a space for other mothers asking the same questions about their babies’ milestones.

Real talk
“I’m so glad I found Dairian. She’s super knowledgeable, calm, and reassuring. My baby started Tummy Time classes with Dairian (first in-person, then virtual) around 3 months and I noticed immediate progress. It was magical! I also love her toy recommendations, especially the focus on quality over quantity.”
“Dairian’s Tummy Time class was great! Dairian not only offered helpful tips to initiate tummy exercises for our babies, she demonstrated how to implement the exercises into a simple but effective routine. As a visual learner, I found this to be super helpful. Also, I really appreciate how Dairian checked in with every participant and answered our questions, while managing to keep the entire group engaged. Thank you Dairian!”
“I took my baby to Dairian to attend the community play group at 6 weeks and for lactation support. My breastfeeding journey is still going strong, we also gained a lot of support from her bottle refusal course. Community play helped my baby start walking with good form at 9 months. The space provided good socialization for me, dad, and our baby. Please don't miss out on these valuable resources for you and your baby.”
