Hey there! Dairian here… your go-to expert maternal health occupational therapy (OT) in Los Angeles, CA. As an occupational therapist, lactation consultant, perinatal mental health specialist, and the passionate owner of Humbled by Motherhood, I've dedicated my career to supporting mothers and infants.

Transitioning from a focus on hand therapy to the realm of postpartum care in 2017, I realized the importance of holistic care, particularly for Black mothers navigating the healthcare system. Maternal health and infant health are intricately linked, and my mission is to provide comprehensive support that acknowledges this connection.

Following my own cesarean experience, I pursued additional training as a postpartum doula to complement my medical-based occupational therapy background. This allowed me to offer specialized care to women healing post-cesarean and seeking reconnection with their bodies.

Recognizing the vital role of infant feeding in maternal mental health, I delved deeper into this area, receiving my certification as an International Board-Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) after my own successful HBAC (home birth after cesarean).

Today, I specialize in 4th-trimester wellness, and infant development, addressing concerns like tongue ties and bottle refusal, and offering manual therapy/bodywork. My approach is comprehensive, compassionate, and relatable - because I will always keep it 100.
